Blow Out Care Guide
Blow Out mimics the sleek, voluminous look of freshly blow-dried hair. Because the texture is already smooth, the goal of care isn’t to define pattern but to preserve that smoothness and prevent it from reverting or frizzing.
Washing
Wash every 2 to 3 weeks, less frequently than the coilier textures, since over-washing can cause the strands to lose their smooth finish faster. Use a lightweight, moisturizing shampoo and a smoothing conditioner, and always rinse with cool water to close the cuticle and boost shine.
Styling and maintenance
Air-dry with a wide-tooth comb through damp hair, or use a low-heat blow dry with a paddle brush to reinforce the smooth finish if it starts to soften. A lightweight, anti-frizz serum or light oil on mid-lengths and ends keeps the texture polished without weighing it down. At night, wrap the hair or use a silk bonnet to prevent friction frizz, and avoid sleeping on it loose against cotton.
What to avoid
Avoid humidity exposure without a protective wrap, heavy creams or butters (this texture needs light products only), and over-brushing dry, which can create static and flyaways.
